Michel P. Williams, Director
Michel P. Williams (“Mike”) joined Senn Visciano Canges in 2013 as a Director and is a Member of the Executive Committee. He has been practicing law for over thirty years, the majority of which was with an old-line Denver firm.
Mike’s practice is, in some fashion, connected to real estate. This includes extensive experience in acquisition and disposition of office, industrial, retail and multi-family properties, including commercial leasing and tenant relations. In addition, Mike assists lenders in pre-foreclosure workouts, foreclosures, loan modifications and servicing REO property needs. Mike’s clients’ needs range from single asset real estate and development companies to owners to national REIT’s and insurance companies. Over the past several years, Mike has been involved in numerous commercial property sales and acquisitions ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to several hundred million dollars, providing due diligence, title, and loan and closing assistance.
Mike has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell since 1999, named a Super Lawyer – Real Estate since 2015 and named one of The Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate since 2017. Mike has assisted the Denver Metro Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and worked with BOMA’s legislative and government affairs committees including providinf expert testimony before the Colorado State Legislature on behalf of BOMA, NAIOP and their members. Mike presents seminars for BOMA, IREM and the Colorado and American Bar Associations on a range of current real estate issues.
Mike is a second generation Coloradan and obtained his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University in 1986, where he was active in student leadership and his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha. Mike attended The University of Denver, where in 1989 he received his Juris Doctorate, and was a member of Denver Law Review and Phi Alpha Delta.
