Overview

For thirty years, Erich has practiced law with an emphasis on commercial litigation and underlying transactional matters.

Erich’s law practice includes real estate matters, entity/partner business disputes, construction law, environmental law, estate and probate disputes and complex family law matters. Throughout his career, Erich has earned the highest ratings from preeminent lawyer rating organizations. Erich strives to provide solid and positive results for his business and individual clients. In doing so, he creatively draws upon his extensive trial and mediation experience to achieve the right solution for his clients. Erich graduated from the Colorado College in 1981 and from the University of Colorado College of Law in 1986.

He began his career as corporate counsel for IBM Inc. in New York where his legal practice involved a wide variety of commercial, legal issues. Erich returned to Colorado to raise a family and joined the Denver offices of Kirkland and Ellis P.C., a leading international law firm, where he represented national and multi-national corporate clients in complex litigation matters. In 1991, Erich joined Canges, Iwashko, Bethke & Bailey P.C. and cultivated a practice with an added emphasis upon Colorado’s small to mid-sized businesses and which also involved challenging family law disputes. When Erich’s firm joined SVC, Erich continued to combine these legal talents, with the skills of SVC’s attorneys, in order to provide his clients with a full spectrum of legal services. In all matters, Erich understands and champions the unique and human aspects of his clients’ legal cases. Erich has lectured and written on a variety of legal topics. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, the Faculty of Federal Advocates and is a founding member of the Minora Yasui Inn of Court. Erich is a member of the Colorado Bar Association. Erich highly values his efforts as a volunteer in many civic and professional organizations.

He takes great pride in his many years of service with the Denver Bar Association, and particularly with respect to his long history of contributing to and forming partnerships between local attorneys/law firms and the Denver Public Schools.
